Women’s Hockey Clinches 8th Straight MIAC Title
The Gustavus women’s hockey team clinched its eighth consecutive MIAC title and 11th overall with a 5-0 shutout over Saint Mary’s University on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. The win propels the sixth-ranked Gusties to 18-1-2 overall and 13-0-1 in the MIAC this season.
Sondheim’s Assassins Opens at Gustavus Feb. 17
The Gustavus Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to bring one of Stephen Sondheim's most controversial musicals, Assassins, to the Anderson Theatre stage Feb. 17 - 26. Performances are scheduled for Feb. 17-18 and 24-25 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 19 and 26 at 2 p.m.
Carla Shutrop ’09: A Young Civic Leader
At just 25 years of age, Gustavus alumna Carla Shutrop is making her life count by serving on the school board in her hometown of Shakopee. In the middle of her first four-year term, Shutrop has been elected chair of the board by her peers.
Gustavus and Guthrie Theater to Offer Summer Audition Boot Camp
The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter have announced that they are partnering to offer a unique and intensive summer Theater Audition Boot Camp, June 24-30, 2012.
Sarah Moe ’02 To Skate In Semi-Pro Hockey Game This Saturday
Former Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey player Sarah Moe `02 is set to once again skate competitively on the campus of her alma mater this Saturday when the Minnesota Whitecaps take on the Manitoba Maple Leafs at 7:00 p.m. in Don Roberts Ice Rink.
Annual African Night is Feb. 24
African Night, an annual celebration of African culture, music, food, and fashion, will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb 24, in Alumni Hall at Gustavus Adolphus College.
Leadership Training in Nonviolence Offered Feb. 24-25
Gustavus Adolphus College will offer a pair of workshops Feb. 24-25 that will provide attendees with tools to address conflict, injustice, and violence in today’s world. The interactive workshops will be led by Executive Director of Lutheran Peace Fellowship Glen Gersmehl.

Gustavus Music Showcase Set for March 25
The Gustavus Music Showcase on Sunday, March 25, will feature the Gustavus Choir, the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, the Gustavus Wind Orchestra, and the Gustavus Jazz Lab Band in a 2 p.m. performance at Ted Mann Concert Hall in Minneapolis.
Students to Display Research at State Capitol
Four Gustavus Adolphus College students will display and explain their undergraduate research at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul on Wednesday, Feb. 22, as part of the annual Private College Scholars at the Capitol program.
