Alumna to Appear on NBC News Teacher Town Hall Posted on September 23rd, 2011 by

Gigi Dobosenski '98

Gustavus Adolphus College alumna Regina (Gigi) Dobosenski (Wait) ’98 will appear as an invited guest on NBC News’ second annual National Teacher Town Hall on Sunday, Sept. 25.

The Teacher Town Hall event is part of NBC News’ “Education Nation” National Summit, which consists of live events and panel sessions on Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Dobosenski will take part in a half hour segment moderated by NBC News anchor Brian Williams, where she will discuss teacher authority in schools as well as teacher professional partnerships – a model in which a school is run by a formal entity formed and owned by teachers rather than a school district.

Dobosenski is Co-Director of EdVisions Off Campus – a Minnesota-based, online charter school based on individualized project-based learning models.

The segment featuring Dobosenski will air on MSNBC between 12:30 and 1 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 25. The entire Teacher Town Hall will also be streamed live online at msnbc.com.
