Due to flooding, the following area roads are closed:

-Highway 22 at Le Sueur County Road (near Kasota).
-Highway 99 bridge in St. Peter (heading East out of town before Whiskey River restaurant)
-U.S. Highway 169 northbound is reduced to one lane between St. Peter and Le Sueur as well as between Mankato and St. Peter. In these areas speed limits are reduced.

As Gustavus becomes aware of road closings and re-openings, updated information will be posted on this page/site. Beware that flooding is difficult to predict, so individuals are advised to seek out road closure Information at www.511mn.org prior to travel. Individuals may also sign up for road alerts at https://local.nixle.com/alert/4668906/?sub_id=229548. and manage text and e-mail messaging for your account at https://local.nixle.com/accounts/login/.

Please know that when a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists may be fined up to $1,000 and/or receive 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.

Gustavus expects to operate on its normal schedule during the flooding.
