The Gustavus Adolphus College football team improved to 1-1 on the season with a 29-0 victory over Northwestern College on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Hollingsworth Field.
Gustavus senior running back Lucas Armstrong posted a career high 23 carries for 180 yards and one touchdown in the victory. Junior quarterback Logan Becker threw for one touchdown and added another on the ground.
The Gustavus defense limited the Eagles to 149 yards of total offense and recorded three interceptions. Senior linebacker Jade Kotila tallied 10 tackles and two interceptions in the win.
The Gusties will open up their MIAC schedule when they host St. Olaf on Homecoming Weekend at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25.
