Football Team Scores 28-21 Victory Over Carleton

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team improved to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a dramatic 28-21 victory over Carleton on Saturday afternoon.

Anderson Theatre Opens Season Oct. 30

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to begin the 2009-10 Anderson Theatre season with a short compilation of three spell-binding plays: Caryl Churchill’s Far Away and Seven Jewish Children, and Deb Margolin’s Seven Palestinian Children.

Physics Department to Host Astronomy Lecture

The Gustavus Adolphus College Physics Department will host a free public astronomy lecture by Robert Pappalardo at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 in room 103 of F.W. Olin Hall of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

Annual Wallenberg Lecture Scheduled

Dr. Steven Miles, professor of medicine and bioethics at the University of Minnesota, will give this year’s Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Lecture at Gustavus Adolphus College. The lecture is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 in Wallenberg Auditorium, located in the Alfred Nobel Hall of Science.

Christmas in Christ Chapel Tickets On Sale Oct. 15

Tickets for the annual Christmas in Christ Chapel celebration at Gustavus Adolphus College will go on sale to the general public at noon on Thursday, Oct. 15. This year’s celebration will be held Dec. 4-6 and is themed “A Liturgy of Letters and Carols.”

A Video Message From President Ohle

Gustavus Adolphus College President Jack R. Ohle presents a video message to the Gustavus community and its many constituents. His message addresses the state of the College including an important milestone in the Commission Gustavus 150 process and the College’s new brand position unveiled to the public on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Gustavus Adolphus College introduced a new brand position over the weekend to better reflect its mission and core values. The new brand position is “Gustavus Adolphus College: Make Your Life Count.”

Gustavus Unveils Commission Gustavus 150 Priorities

Commission Gustavus 150, a planning process established by the Gustavus Board of Trustees to chart the College’s future, released its recommendations for implementation of the College’s strategic plan to the Gustavus community over the weekend.

Football Team Earns 34-33 Homecoming Victory

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team came back from a 33-22 defecit against Pacific Lutheran University to earn a thrilling 34-33 victory. Gustavus quarterback Jordan Becker connected with sophomore Elliott Herdina on a one-yard touchdown pass with 12 seconds remaining for the winning score.

Nobel Conference Lectures Archived Online

Nine different lectures from the recently concluded 45th annual Nobel Conference at Gustavus Adolphus College are now archived and available for viewing online. This year's Nobel Conference was titled H2O: Uncertain Resource and confronted global issues related to water resources.
