  • Distinguished Zoologist to Lecture at Gustavus

    The Gustavus Adolphus College chapter of Sigma Xi will host Dr. Richard (Rikk) G. Kvitek for a pair of free public lectures on March 21-22. Dr. Kvitek is a Professor in the Division of Science and Environmental Policy at California State University Monterey Bay, where he directs the CSUMB Seafloor Mapping Lab.

  • GWS Program to Screen “Small, Beautifully Moving Parts”

    The Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies Program at Gustavus Adolphus College will host a free public screening of the award-winning film “Small, Beautifully Moving Parts” at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7 in the Nobel Hall of Science’s Wallenburg Auditorium.

  • Forensics Team Captures State Championship

    For the fifth time in the last six years, the Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team has won the Minnesota Collegiate Forensics Association (MCFA) state championship. Gustavus won the team sweepstakes at the tournament, which was hosted by the College of St. Benedict on Feb. 16-17, with 456 points.

    Two Gustavus Adolphus College students will be among the 37 undergraduate students who will present their research at the 2013 Minnesota Private College Scholars at the Capitol event from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.

  • Erin Luhmann ’08 Wins New York Times Contest

    2008 Gustavus graduate Erin Luhmann is the winner of an annual New York Times contest that will allow her to travel to Africa this summer with Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Nicholas Kristof. Luhmann is a former Peace Corps volunteer who is finishing up graduate school work in journalism this spring.
