593 Graduates Receive Degrees

On Sunday, May 30, 593 seniors received their bachelor of arts degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College. The Class of 2010 represents the 121st graduating class in the history of the College.

On Sunday, May 30, 2010, 593 seniors received their bachelor of arts degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College.  Senior Mary Cunningham of Maplewood, Minn., delivered this year’s commencement address. Associate Professor of Communication Studies Leila Brammer received the 2010 Edgar M. Carlson Award for Distinguished Teaching.

Thirty-six seniors graduated with a summa cum laude distinction (3.9 grade point average or higher), 99 graduated with a magna cum laude distinction (GPA of 3.7 to 3.899), and 96 graduated with a cum laude distinction (GPA of 3.5 to 3.699).
