Gustavus Adolphus College will host its fourth annual charity fundraiser “Dancing With the Profs” at 7:30 pm. Saturday, Nov. 7 in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union.
Inspired by the popular show Dancing With the Stars, “Dancing With the Profs” features six teams consisting of a Gustavus staff member and a Gustavus student. The duos have a few short weeks to learn a swing dance and then perform it in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. Last year more than 400 people attended, raising approximately $2,000 for the St. Peter United Way.
This year’s six teams are:
- Kyle Goodfellow (Senior) & Sarah Johnson (Religion)
- Steve Grimsby (Senior) & Vicki Kennedy (Admission)
- Matt Wood (Senior) & Heidi Meyer (Nursing)
- Maddie Hanks (Senior) & Scott Bur (Chemistry)’
- Meghan Lee (Sophomore) & Sean Cobb (English)
- Amy Gosewisch (Senior) & Bob Douglas (Geography, Environmental Studies)
Money raised through ticket sales will once again benefit the St. Peter United Way.
Tickets for the event are available at the Student Activities Desk, located on the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center. Tickets can be purchased in advance, Monday through Friday during normal business hours or at the door for $2 apiece.
“Dancing With the Profs” is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board. For more information about this event, contact Carleen Crouse at ccrouse@gustavus.edu or Erin Watt at ewatt@gustavus.edu.
