Twenty five individuals from various political parties who are registered as potential candidates for governor with the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board received invitations to participate in the forum. Several candidates have already confirmed that they will attend including Margaret Anderson-Kelliher (DFL), Tom Bakk (DFL), Leslie Davis (RPM), Susan Gaertner (DFL), Mike Jungbauer (RPM), John Marty (DFL), Peter Roess (Green Party of Minnesota), Tom Rukavina (DFL), and Chris Wright (Grassroots Party of Minnesota).

Participants will be given a chance to make an opening statement about their vision for the state and will then field questions from students and community members in the audience. Issues surrounding higher education in the state of Minnesota will specifically be addressed. Gustavus Assistant Professor of Political Science Kate Knutson will serve as moderator of the event.
