As the season turns toward winter and the days grow shorter, hundreds of Gustavus students, faculty, and staff work tirelessly to gift the world the remarkable celebration of Christmas in Christ Chapel. This has become a widely loved tradition that has been bringing the community together for half of a century to start the holiday season.

The College marks the 50th anniversary of the Christmas in Christ Chapel service, with a theme titled, Grace Embodied. The event will include performances from the Gustavus Choir, Choir of Christ Chapel, Christ Chapel Ringers, Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, Lucia Singers, and dancers. Heroic Productions will provide their lighting, visual, and audio technical expertise, creating an incredible livestream and powerful experience for those attending in person.

Executive Chaplain, Grady St. Dennis expressed this wish for the audience enjoying this jubilee anniversary, May the Christmas reminder of God’s grace embodied rekindle the fires of hope within you and encourage you in your life of service to others!”

Christmas in Christ Chapel is at Gustavus Adolphus College Friday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 2 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 3 at 4 p.m. A limited number of tickets remain for the services and the holiday buffet.
