Ruhl’s In the Next Room Opens in Anderson Theatre on Thursday

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus will present its final main stage performance of the year, Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room, May 14-16 at 8 p.m. and May 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets for the Anderson Theatre production are available online at gustavustickets.com.

Carolyn Draayer ’15 Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Gustavus Adolphus College senior Carolyn Draayer is one of 58 winter sports student-athletes to receive a postgraduate scholarship from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Draayer is the 36th Gustavus student-athlete to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

April has come and gone and that means there is less than a month left in the 2014-15 academic year. In just a few weeks, the class of 2015 will receive their diplomas on Hollingsworth Field.  There are plenty of exciting events left in the month of May, but take a moment to watch this video slideshow produced by Caroline Moynihan ’17 to reflect back on some of things that happened on campus during the month of April.

Lisa Heldke ’82 Receives Faculty Scholarly Achievement Award

Professor of Philosophy and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies, Lisa Heldke, received the 2015 Faculty Scholarly Achievement Award on May 2 at the College’s Honors Day Convocation.

Chad Winterfeldt Awarded Swenson-Bunn Teaching Award

Chad Winterfeldt, Cantor of Christ Chapel and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College, received the 2015 Swenson-Bunn Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence at the College’s Honors Day convocation on Saturday, May 2. The award, which is nominated and selected by students, has been presented annually since 1990.
