Gustavus Moves Up in U.S. News & World Report Rankings
Gustavus Adolphus College is ranked No. 64 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges list, which was released on Tuesday, Sept. 9. This is the highest Gustavus has appeared on the list in recent history and represents a jump of 12 spots from the publication’s 2014 rankings when the College was ranked No. 76 among liberal arts colleges.
Gustavus Begins 153rd Academic Year
Tuesday, Sept. 2 marks the beginning of the 153rd academic year in the history of Gustavus Adolphus College as classes will commence for the College's 2,500 full-time students.

Alumnus Eric Butorac ’03 Named President of ATP Player Council
Gustavus Adolphus College alumnus and professional tennis player Eric Butorac ’03 has been elected by his peers to serve as the next President of the ATP Player Council. Butorac will succeed Roger Federer, who served as President of the Council since 2008.
Nick Hupton ’99: Impacting Today’s Youth as a Teacher, Coach, and Author
Nick Hupton '99 is a high school English teacher, a boys' tennis coach, and the author of three young adult novels. In all three of his professional pursuits, Hupton aims to help kids grow both academically and emotionally.
Jenni Harms ’14: Lifelong Gustie Starts Next Chapter at Cargill
Recent Gustavus alumna Jenni Harms '14 built close relationships with faculty members, traveled the world as a member of two music ensembles, studied abroad for a semester in Ireland, obtained two valuable internships, and is now in the early stages of her professional career at Cargill—one of the most respected corporations in Minnesota and the entire country.
Kathy Lund Dean Named Erskine Fellow for Spring 2015
Gustavus Adolphus College Board of Trustees Distinguished Chair in Leadership and Ethics Professor Kathy Lund Dean has been awarded a Visiting Erskine Programme Fellowship for the 2015 spring semester by the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Lund Dean plans to partner with faculty at UC's School of Business & Economics to determine best practices in embedding experiential learning within large, traditionally lecture-based courses.
