Rebecca M. Bergman Named 17th President of Gustavus Adolphus College
The Board of Trustees of Gustavus Adolphus College has elected Rebecca M. Bergman to be the College’s 17th president. Bergman is the first woman in the 152-year history of the College to be named president and will succeed Jack R. Ohle, who is retiring after serving as president of the College since July 2008. Bergman will officially take office July 1, 2014.
Kristina Fosse ’13: Living Her Dream in the Peace Corps
Kristina Fosse '13 is serving in the Peace Corps in China, where she is teaching English as a foreign language at a political science and law university in Lanzhou.

Sarah Hund ’13 Tackles the Transition to Law School
Sarah Hund ’13 is barely nine months removed from her undergraduate experience at Gustavus Adolphus College, but she is already reaping the benefits of the liberal arts education she received. Hund is now enrolled in law school at the University of Oregon and feels she has successfully made the transition thanks in large part to the wide range of academic opportunities she had at Gustavus as an English major and history and biology minor.
Alumni Mentoring Program Empowers Kelsey Jensen ’13 for the Future
The Alumni Mentoring Program at Gustavus Adolphus College allows students to grow personally and professionally through a relationship with a Gustavus alumnus. The program is also helping Gustavus students obtain desirable jobs at prestigious companies immediately after graduation.
Photographer and Peace Activist John Noltner on Campus Feb. 24-25
What does peace mean to you? That is the central question photographer and storyteller John Noltner has been asking people for his social commentary project, A Peace of My Mind. Noltner will visit Gustavus on Feb. 24-25 to share his multimedia exhibit and speak in Christ Chapel about the project.
Forensics Team Captures Third Straight State Championship
For the third straight year and for the sixth time in the last seven years, the Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team won the Minnesota State Collegiate Forensics Tournament on Feb. 15-16. The Gusties won the Team Sweepstakes by amassing 390 points as they took first place in seven of the 11 individual events.
Anderson Theatre to Present HAIR the Musical
The Theatre and Dance Department at Gustavus Adolphus College is proud to present Hair, the American tribal love-rock musical with book and lyrics by James Rando and Gerome Ragni with music by Galt MacDermot. Directed by Amy Seham, Hair will be performed in the Anderson Theatre on Feburary 21, 22, 28 and March 1 at 8 p.m. with matinee performances on February 23 and March 2 at 2 p.m.

Dr. Nathan Kreykes ’96 Exemplifies Early Professional Success
