Building Bridges Conference to Focus on Environmental Justice

Gustavus Adolphus College will host its 19th annual student-led Building Bridges Conference on Saturday, March 8. This year’s conference is titled “Disposable Communities? Demanding Environmental Justice,” and will feature keynote speakers Van Jones and Alexie Torres-Fleming.

Timeflies and Mike Stud to Appear in Concert at Gustavus

The Campus Activities Board at Gustavus Adolphus College has announced that the music duo Timeflies will perform in concert in Lund Arena on Friday, May 9. Up and coming hip-hop artist Mike Stud has been announced as the opening act. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with Stud taking the stage at 8 p.m., and Timeflies following at 9 p.m.

New Hillstrom Exhibition Features Works by Minna Citron & Peggy Bacon

The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will present two concurrent, complementary exhibitions from February 17 through April 17: Minna Citron: The Uncharted Course from Realism to Abstraction, and Peggy Bacon, Keeping the Realist Course. An opening reception is set for 7-9 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, and includes a gallery talk at 7:30 p.m. by Christiane H. Citron, granddaughter and scholar of Minna Citron.
