The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will open its new season on Monday, September 9 as it presents three concurrent exhibitions, Associated American Artists: Art by Subscription, Recent Acquisitions and Debuts of the Hillstrom Museum of Art, and String Theory and the Superconducting Super Collider Series: Paintings by Lucinda Mason.

Gustavus Adolphus College will begin its 152nd academic year on Tuesday, Sept. 3, when classes commence for the College’s 2,500 full-time students. President Jack R. Ohle will welcome all students and staff back to campus at the College’s Opening Convocation at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Christ Chapel.

Approximately 650 first-year students will arrive in St. Peter on the morning of Friday, Aug. 30 to begin their college journey at Gustavus Adolphus College. New Student Orientation will take place Aug. 30 through Sept. 2. The first day of classes for the 2013-14 academic year is Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Crystal Polski ’04 recently received a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching that will allow her to travel to Finland for six months in 2014. Polski is just one of hundreds of educators in the state of Minnesota who earned their undergraduate degree at Gustavus.
