Nobel Conference Presentations Now Available Online Posted on October 9th, 2012 by

Nearly 5,000 people attended the 48th Nobel Conference, titled Our Global Ocean, on Oct. 2-3, but for those who were unable to attend in person or watch via live streaming, all eight presentations are now archived online on the College’s You Tube page.

This year’s presenters included Dr. David Gallo of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute; Dr. Maya Tolstoy of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University; Dr. Barbara Block of the Tuna Research and Conservation Center at Stanford University’s Hopkins Marine Station; Dr. William Fitzgerald, Professor Emeritus of Marine Sciences at the University of Connecticut; Dr. Christopher Sabine of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory; Dr. Kathleen Dean Moore of Oregon State University’s Spring Creek Project for Ideas, Nature, and the Written Word; Dr. Ove Hoegh-Guldberg of the University of Queensland’s Global Change Institute; and Dr. Carl Safina of the Blue Ocean Institute.
