Football Team Ends Season With 21-7 Victory Over Carleton Posted on November 12th, 2011 by

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team finished off its 2011 season with a 21-7 victory over the Carleton Knights on Saturday, Nov. 12 in Northfield.

Senior quarterback Logan Becker completed 12-of-19 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns in his final game in a Golden Gustie uniform.

Becker threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to junior Andre Creighton in the second quarter and then connected with senior Turner Johnson for a 22-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Sophomore running back Jeffrey Dubose carried 19 times for 95 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

The Gustavus defense held Carleton to 141 yards of total offense. Sophomore linebacker Joe Haas led the way with nine tackles and a sack.

Gustavus finishes the season with a 2-8 overall record and a 2-6 mark in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
