Gustavus Students to Host Science on Saturday

The Gustavus Adolphus College Chemistry Club will host elementary students in grades one through six on Saturday, April 9 for the annual Science on Saturday event.

The Gustavus Adolphus College Chemistry Club will host elementary students in grades one through six on Saturday, April 9 for the annual Science on Saturday event.

Students from St. Peter, Le Sueur, Mankato, Nicollet, Cleveland and other surrounding communities will have the opportunity to witness science demonstrations and take part in hands-on experiments led by Gustavus students from the chemistry, biology, physics, and geology clubs.

The full schedule for Saturday’s event is as follows: 

  • 8:15 a.m. / Arrival and check-in / Nobel Hall Atrium on the second floor
  • 8:30 a.m. / Welcome and Introduction / Wallenberg Auditorium
  • 8:40 a.m. / Session 1
  • 9:20 a.m. / Session 2
  • 10 a.m. / Break for liquid nitrogen ice cream treats
  • 10:30 a.m. / Session 3
  • 11:10 a.m. / Session 4
  • 12 p.m. / Check-out / Wallenberg Auditorium
