Hillstrom Museum to Feature Alumni Artists

The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will present its latest exhibition, Alumni Invitational Art Exhibition: Ars Longa, Academia Brevis, from Nov. 22, 2010 through Jan. 28, 2011. An opening reception will take place Monday, Nov. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Christmas in Christ Chapel Dec. 3-5

The annual Christmas in Christ Chapel celebration at Gustavus Adolphus College will be held Dec. 3-5 and is themed “A Renaissance Nativity.”

Weather Postpones Saturday Events

Education Majors Student Teaching in Spain

For the third straight year, a group of Gustavus Adolphus College education majors are completing a portion of their student teaching requirements in Sotogrande, Spain.

Gustavus Symphony in Concert Sunday

The Gustavus Adolphus College Department of Music is pleased to present the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra and its new Conductor Ruth Lin in a concert of All-American music at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov 14 in Christ Chapel.

International Festival Scheduled For Nov. 20

The annual International Festival at Gustavus Adolphus College is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union. This event, sponsored by the International Cultures Club, is free and open to the public.

Forensics Team Places Sixth at Prestigious L.E. Norton Tournament

The Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team placed sixth out of 47 teams at the prestigious L.E. Norton Memorial Tournament on Nov. 6-7 on the campus of Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.

Alumnus Starring in Guthrie Production of The 39 Steps

Robert O. Berdahl, a 1990 alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College is currently starring in the Guthrie Theatre production of The 39 Steps.

Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Lecture Tonight

Jo Ellen Fair, professor of journalism and mass communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will give this year’s Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Lecture at 7 p.m. tonight in Wallenberg Auditorium.

Five Alumni Elected to State Legislature

Five alumni and one professor from Gustavus Adolphus College were elected to the Minnesota state legislature by voters on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
