The Gustavus Adolphus College Campus Activities Board has announced that the fifth annual “Dancing With the Profs” event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 in Alumni Hall, located on the upper level of the O.J. Johnson Student Union.
Inspired by the popular show Dancing With the Stars, “Dancing With the Profs” features five teams consisting of a Gustavus staff member and a Gustavus student. The duos have a few weeks to learn a swing dance before performing the number in front of a live audience and panel of judges. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will be given to a local charity of the winning team’s choice.
This year’s dancers are:
- Jon Carlson (Junior) & Ana Adams (Spanish)
- Bobby Elwell (Junior) & Pamela Kittelson (Biology)
- Kate Eggers (Sophomore) & John Cha (Religion)
- Bergit Nerheim (Senior) & John Lammert (Biology)
- Renee Guittar (Junior) & John Carlson (Athletics)
Tickets for the event are $2 and are available at the Student Activities Desk, located on the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center. Tickets can be purchased in advance, Monday through Friday during normal business hours or at the door.
