Paul Magnuson Student Leadership and Service Awards Announced

Four student leaders, four student organizations, and two student-led events were recognized Tuesday, May 4 at the annual Paul Magnuson Student Leadership and Service Awards Program at Gustavus Adolphus College.

KARE 11 Reporters Break World Record

KARE 11 Reporters Eric Perkins and Dave Watkins broke a Guinness Book of World Records record for longest tennis match on Tuesday night at Gustavus's Swanson Tennis Center.

Gustavus Adolphus College’s nationally ranked forensics team will showcase some of its best performances of the year at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 6 in the Courtyard Café, located on the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center.

Bishop Peter Rogness to Speak at Annual George Hall Lecture

The Rev. Peter Rogness, Bishop of the St. Paul Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), will give the 2010 George Hall Lecture at Gustavus Adolphus College at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4.

Women’s Tennis Captures 19th Straight MIAC Title

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s tennis team captured its 19th consecutive MIAC regular season title with a 6-3 win over Carleton on Saturday, May 1 at the Swanson Tennis Center. The Gusties took four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches to secure the victory.

Gustavus and KARE 11 Teaming Up to Break World Record

Gustavus Adolphus College will join with KARE 11 Television on May 3-4 as KARE 11 reporters David Watkins and Eric Perkins attempt to break the world record for the longest tennis match. The match, which is the part of a series hosted by Watkins called “Record Wreckers,” will take place at the Swanson Tennis Center on the Gustavus campus.
