A group of 21 students and two faculty members from Gustavus Adolphus College are scheduled to arrive at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport Saturday, Jan. 30 around noon.
The group, which was on a study-away trip studying social issues in Peru, was among several thousand tourists who ended up trapped near Machu Picchu due to flooding. The group was airlifted out of the flooded area by helicopter on Thursday.
