Gustavus Ranked Seventh in Study Abroad Report

Gustavus Adolphus College is ranked seventh for the number of students participating in study abroad opportunities among all baccalaureate institutions in the nation according to the Institute of International Education’s recently released Open Doors report.

This year’s study considered data from the 2007-08 academic year when Gustavus had 497 students participate in some type of study abroad experience. Gustavus jumped up 11 places from last year when the College was ranked 18th on the same list.

International study continues to be an important part of many students’ educational journey at Gustavus. According to the last three Open Doors reports, more than 1,300 Gustavus students have participated in study abroad programs during that time span. Gustavus students engage in international learning through various programs in more than 100 locations throughout the world including Australia, China, India, and Sweden.
