The Gustavus football team blocked two extra points late in the game on Saturday and earned a 30-29 overtime victory over 22nd-ranked Carleton. Gustavus improved to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Carleton, which suffered its first loss of the season, fell to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The Gusties rushed for 168 yards and junior quarterback Jordan Becker completed 17-of-31 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. Senior wide receiver Chad Arlt made eight catches for 109 yards. Arlt, who currently has 204 career receptions, became just the sixth player in MIAC history to reach the 200-catch milestone.
