STUDENT FLUTE AND PIANO RECITALS AT GUSTAVUS THIS WEEKEND Posted on March 9th, 2004 by

A solo flute and a group piano recital will be presented Sunday, March 14, in Jussi Björling Recital Hall at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.

Dana Barron, a junior music major with honors from Guttenberg, Iowa, will perform a solo flute recital at 1:30 p.m. accompanied by pianist Coni Liljengren. Barron will begin with C. P. E. Bach’s “Sonata in A Major for Solo Flute.” The recital also includes Paul Hindemith’s “Sonata for Flute and Piano” and Jules Mouquet’s “Sonata for Pan Flute and Piano.”

At 3:30 p.m. the piano students of Helen Baumgartner will present a group recital of works for solo piano in the recital hall. Included in this recital are Tessa Anderson, Emily Conlin, Keisha Husby, Karin Hedstrom, Britt Forsberg, Brianna Vaa, Phill Williams and Erin Deutchman.

Both recitals are free and open to the public.
