Gustavus Adolphus College’s 44th annual Christmas in Christ Chapel worship services are set to take place Friday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 4. This year’s theme is “Ubuntu, Jesu: From the Cradle of Humankind to the Ends of the Earth.”

Christmas in Christ Chapel's 2015 theme is "Shalom, Salaam, Bethlehem" and will take the audience on a journey, joining the global travelers and residents of Bethlehem, Palestine, to celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace and give voice to our shared hope for peace in this world.
Orchestra Concert Sunday Afternoon
Both of Gustavus's large string ensembles will perform in concert at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Christ Chapel. The concert includes the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, under Conductor Ruth Lin, and the Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Justin Knoepfel. Sunday’s orchestra concert is free and open to the public.

The Gustavus Adolphus College Wind Orchestra, conducted by Douglas Nimmo, is currently preparing to embark on a 10-day tour from Jan. 30 to Feb. 8 that will take it to parts of Colorado and South Dakota.

Tickets for Music Showcase Now On Sale
The three international touring music ensembles at Gustavus Adolphus College — The Gustavus Choir, the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, and the Gustavus Wind Orchestra — have announced the details for the Gustavus Music Showcase concert. The trio of ensembles will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
Gustavus Orchestra Leaves for China
The Gustavus Symphony Orchestra performed in China's two imperial cities: Beijing, the modern capital, and Xian, the ancient capital; and Ju Yong Pass at the Great Wall as part of the American Celebration of Music in China.
