<i>A Royal Affair </i>Online Auction Open for Bidding
Approximately 800 items that will be auctioned as part of this year's A Royal Affair may now be viewed online. About 100 of the items are now available for online bidding between Oct. 18-25. The remaining 700 items will go to the highest bidder at the silent and live auctions during A Royal Affair Oct. 27.
16th <i>A Royal Affair </i>to Benefit Library at Gustavus
Gustavus Library Associates (GLA) will sponsor its 16th biennial library fundraiser, "Razzle Dazzle...A Royal Affair," Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. This dinner and auction event will benefit the endowment fund of the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus.
A Knowing Woman Dedication
A new sculpture, A Knowing Woman, was given to Gustavus Adolphus College by the children of Lloyd and Fran Engelsma. The piece was created by sculptor Gloria Tew, who studied with Gustavus sculptor-in-residence Paul Granlund in the early 1970s, and is dedicated in memory of Fran Engelsma, one of the founding members of Gustavus Library Associates.
