Gustavus Adolphus College’s annual Diversity Week is scheduled for April 23-27 and is themed “Be the Change: Act! Now.” A week’s worth of events will conclude with the annual Diversity Awards Banquet at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 27 in Alumni Hall.

Gustavus Adolphus College has named Laurie Trow Kelly the new head coach of its women’s basketball program. Kelly, a 1993 graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a major in speech communications, is replacing Mickey Haller, who resigned in March after serving as the head coach for 12 years.

Colleges Against Cancer will host the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser, Relay For Life, at Gustavus Adolphus College April 20-21. More than 30 teams and 330 individuals who have already raised more than $25,000 for the charity are registered to participate in the event.

The Gustavus Adolphus College International Cultures Club will host “The Tibetan Story,” at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21 in Alumni Hall. Wangyal Ritzekura, a native of Tibet who came to Minnesota in 1992 as part of the United States Tibetan Resettlement Project, will be the featured speaker.
