Dr. Donny George Youkhanna, former director general of the National Museum in Baghdad, Iraq, will present a public lecture at Gustavus Adolphus College at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22. The lecture is free for all attendees and will take place in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union.

Larry Zelenz Records 300th Career Victory

Larry Zelenz, head men’s soccer coach at Gustavus Adolphus College, recently picked up the 300th win of his collegiate coaching career. Zelenz recorded victory number 300 on Sunday, Sept. 7 when the Gusties earned a 5-1 win over Marian University of Fond du Lac, Wisc.

Tuesday, Sept. 2 marked the beginning of the 147th academic year at Gustavus Adolphus College. Classes resumed at 8 a.m., and President Jack R. Ohle gave the homily at a 10 a.m. opening convocation ceremony in Christ Chapel.
