Tuesday, Sept. 2 marked the beginning of the 147th academic year at Gustavus Adolphus College. Classes resumed at 8 a.m., and President Jack R. Ohle gave the homily at a 10 a.m. opening convocation ceremony in Christ Chapel.

First-year students were welcomed to campus for the first time on Friday, Aug. 29. The Gustie Greeters along with President Ohle and his wife Kris, helped to usher in this year’s group of 635 first-year students and their families.

New student orientation took place from Friday, Aug. 29 through Monday, Sept. 1. Sept. 1 also marked move-in day for the college’s upperclass students.
