The Rev. Craig Johnson, a 1969 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, has decided to resign his position as Bishop of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to accept the position of Interim Senior Pastor at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.

As Gilbert and Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore drops anchor on the Guthrie Theatre Stage June 18 – August 28, 2011, she will be captained by Twin Cities actor/vocalist Robert O. Berdahl ’90. Guthrie Artistic Director Joe Dowling directs this summer’s hit musical which features Berdahl as Captain Corcoran and Christina Baldwin as Little Buttercup.
