On Wednesday, Nov. 16, Gustavus Adolphus College will participate in GiveMN’s Give to the Max Day – a day for Minnesotans to come together to raise as much money as possible for nonprofits in 24 hours. Give to the Max Day will start at midnight on Nov. 16 and end at midnight on Nov. 17.

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team finished off its 2011 season with a 21-7 victory over the Carleton Knights on Saturday, Nov. 12 in Northfield.

The Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team placed third out of 51 teams at the prestigious 64th annual L.E. Norton Memorial Tournament on Nov. 5-6 at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., as two team members won individual championships.

More than 100 student musicians from 43 high schools across Minnesota and northern Iowa will converge on Gustavus Adolphus College on Nov. 6-7 for the 22nd annual Gustavus Honor Band Festival.

Minnesota poet and anthologist William Reichard will be at Gustavus Adolphus College Wednesday, Nov. 2 to read from his newly published anthology American Tensions: Literature of Identity and the Search for Social Justice.

Three members of the Gustavus Adolphus College community were honored during the Monday, Oct. 31 daily chapel service at 10 a.m. as recipients of the College’s annual outstanding employee awards.

Los Angeles based digital artist Alma Lopez will be at Gustavus Adolphus College Wednesday, Nov. 9 to talk about her newly released book Our Lady of Controversy: Alma Lopez’s Irreverent Apparition, and screen her new documentary “I LOVE Lupe.”
