Men’s Basketball Clinches Share of MIAC Title

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s basketball team clinched at least a share of the MIAC regular season title on Wednesday night with a 61-43 victory over Concordia College in Moorhead. The victory keeps the Gusties one game ahead of St. Thomas for first place in the conference standings with one game to play.

The Campus Activities Board at Gustavus Adolphus College has announced that singer, songwriter, and musician Gavin DeGraw will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, April 13 inside Lund Arena.

Day at the Capitol Scheduled for March 14

On Wednesday, March 14, Gustavus students and financial aid supporters will travel to St. Paul to meet with state legislators to show continued support and appreciation for the Minnesota State Grant program. One quarter of Gustavus students receive need-based aid through the program each year.

Professor Emeritus and Hall of Fame men’s swimming coach Vic Gustafson ’42 passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the age of 95. He served as swimming coach at Gustavus from 1945-77 and his teams won eight MIAC championships, including five straight from 1956-60.

Women’s Hockey Clinches 8th Straight MIAC Title

The Gustavus women’s hockey team clinched its eighth consecutive MIAC title and 11th overall with a 5-0 shutout over Saint Mary’s University on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. The win propels the sixth-ranked Gusties to 18-1-2 overall and 13-0-1 in the MIAC this season.

The Gustavus Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to bring one of Stephen Sondheim’s most controversial musicals, Assassins, to the Anderson Theatre stage Feb. 17 – 26. Performances are scheduled for Feb. 17-18 and 24-25 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 19 and 26 at 2 p.m.
