Gustavus Adolphus College will begin its 151st academic year on Tuesday, Sept. 4, when classes commence for the College’s 2,500 full-time students.
President Jack R. Ohle will welcome all students and staff back to campus at the College’s Opening Convocation at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Christ Chapel. The College’s Opening Convocation is open to the public.

It will be a busy and exciting first two months of the academic year, highlighted by a visit from Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden on Friday, Oct. 5. Here are some of the events that will take place on campus in September and October:
September 4: First day of Fall Semester classes
September 10-December 2: 150 Years of Swedish Art: Highlights from the Swedish National Collections in Stockholm, Hillstrom Museum of Art
September 11: Reading in Common Lecture with Author Wes Moore, 7 p.m., Christ Chapel
