Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to announce that it will begin live streaming a number of campus events through a partnership with Stretch Internet.
The first event that will be available via live streaming will occur this week when the College streams the Festival of St. Lucia beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 from Christ Chapel. The College will also live stream the Neal & Leandra concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 from Jussi Björling Recital Hall.
“We have previously used Stretch Internet to live stream our athletic events and I think people find it easy to use,” said Vice President for Marketing and Communication Tim Kennedy. “We are excited to take this step forward and provide the Gustavus community with live video of campus events such as academic lectures, daily chapel services, student life speakers, fine arts events, and more.”
Access to live streamed events will be available through a link on the Gustavus homepage and can also be accessed by going to http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/gacadmin.portal#. A list of scheduled events will also be available. All events live streamed will be available to viewers for no charge.
Stretch Internet broadcasts use Adobe Flash, which is viewable on 95 percent of all devices. Through Stretch Internet, Gustavus’ broadcasts will also be viewable on iPhone, iPad, and any other mobile device supporting Flash 10.1, which includes most Android devices.
