The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will present Insert Title Here: Senior Exhibition, an exhibition featuring the work of nine studio art majors at the College. The show will be on display from Saturday, May 7 through Sunday, May 29 with an opening reception scheduled for Saturday, May 7 from 4-6 p.m.

The exhibition is a culminating event in the studio art major’s curriculum and a required component of the major. On display will be works by Anna Ahlbrecht (Gibbon, Minn.), Elise Biewen (Edina, Minn.), James Ebeling (Owatonna, Minn.), Kacie Johnson (Mounds View, Minn.), Kelly Mathewson (Maple Grove, Minn.), Ahmed Mohamed (Minneapolis, Minn.), Kaitlyn Peterson (Plymouth, Minn.), and Nicole Tetrault (Forest Lake, Minn.).

Their works were created using a variety of different media such as painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, ceramic, and mixed media. Each artist is represented by artwork and by a personal statement reflecting his or her artistic goals and aesthetic philosophy.

The exhibition was selected from a group of submissions by each artist, and the jury process was carried out by faculty members from the Department of Art and Art History.

The Hillstrom Museum of Art is located on the lower level of the College’s C. Charles Jackson Campus Center. Regular museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends. The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.
