Alumnus Wins Inaugural Mankato Marathon

James Sorenson, a 2005 alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College, won the inaugural Mankato Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 23 with a time of 2:37.04.

James Sorenson, a 2005 alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College, won the inaugural Mankato Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 23 with a time of 2:37.04.

Sorenson, who now lives in Minneapolis, was a four-year participant in both cross country and track and field at Gustavus.

More than 2,100 runners took part in the day’s races, which included full and half marathons as well as a 10K and marathon relay. A total of 577 runners completed the marathon.
