Women’s Hockey Wins MIAC Playoff Title

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team topped St. Catherine 5-1 on Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink to win its seventh consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoff championship. With the win, the team will earn the automatic bid from the MIAC to the NCAA Tournament, which begins next weekend.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team topped St. Catherine 5-1 on Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink to win its seventh consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoff championship. With the win, the team will earn the automatic bid from the MIAC to the NCAA Tournament, which begins next weekend.

Five different players scored for Gustavus in the game including Mollie Carroll, Alyssa Saunders, Allie Schwab, Kelsey Johnson, and Alyssa Gaulrapp. Danielle Justice recorded 18 saves and picked up the win in goal for the Gusties.

With the win, the team improves to 21-4-2 overall and has now won 19 of its last 20 games.
