Football Team Loses Season Opener 27-24

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team rallied for 21 points in the fourth quarter, but came up short by a score of 27-24 to Coe College in its season opener Saturday, Sept. 12.

Gustie quarterback Jordan Becker was intercepted in the end zone with nine seconds remaining as the Gusties attemped to take the lead. The game was Peter Haugen’s first as head coach of the Gusties.
