Gustavus Opens 148th Academic Year

Gustavus Adolphus College opened its 148th academic year Tuesday, Sept. 8 when classes resumed at 8 a.m. for more than 2,500 undergraduate students. President Jack R. Ohle addressed students, faculty, and staff at the College’s traditional opening convocation ceremony at 10 a.m. in Christ Chapel.

While addressing first-year students Ohle stated, “It is my hope that you will find Gustavus to be a place where you can stretch yourself and find not only how you connect with and live out your own dreams, but how you can help others connect and live out their dreams. You will make your life count at this institution.”
