Ally Voss ’13 Receives Fulbright Grant to Spain

Gustavus Adolphus College senior Ally Voss ’13 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Grant to Spain for 2013. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

Sam Vong Named Bruce Gray Postdoctoral Fellow

The Provost’s Office at Gustavus Adolphus College has announced that Sam C. Vong will join the College’s faculty beginning in the fall of 2013 as the College's first Bruce Gray Postdoctoral Fellow. Vong, who will earn his Ph.D. in history from Yale University this summer, will be based in the Gustavus History Department in Beck Academic Hall.

Cadi Kadlecek Named Outstanding New Forensic Coach at AFA-NIET

Cadi Kadlecek, Associate Director of the Forensics Program at Gustavus Adolphus College, was awarded the Outstanding New Forensic Coach Award at the American Forensic Association's National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET), which was held April 5-8 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Eric Eliason Named VP for Academic Affairs at Concordia

Professor of English, Dr. Eric Eliason, has been named dean of the college and vice president for Academic Affairs at Concordia College in Moorhead. Eliason joined the Gustavus faculty in 1989 and went on to serve in two different leadership positions in the Provost's Office.

Nicole Ektnitphong ’15 Named a Phillips Scholar

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Nicole Ektnitphong has been named a Jay and Rose Phillips Scholar for 2013-15. Ektnitphong, a native of Worthington, Minn., is a political science major with minors in peace studies and civic leadership.
