On Sunday, May 27, 2012, 545 seniors received their bachelor of arts degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College. Senior Chloe Radcliffe of Prior Lake, Minn., delivered this year’s commencement address. Alumna Diane Loomer ’62 received an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degree in honor of her outstanding career and contribution to choral music and the education of students over the course of several decades. Associate Professor of Political Science Alisa Rosenthal received this year’s Edgar M. Carlson Award for Distinguished Teaching.

The audience on Sunday was also inspired by the presence of three students who were involved in automobile accident during the College’s Spring Break. Jake Klem of Mahtomedi, Minn., John Anderson of Appleton, Wisc., and Adyn Clausen of St. Louis Park, Minn., were all able to take part in the ceremony with the rest of their class.
