The annual International Festival at Gustavus Adolphus College is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union. The festival, which is sponsored by the International Cultures Club, is free and open to the public.
Starting at 5 p.m., there will be display tables featuring photos, information, cultural objects, and food samples from many different countries around the world. Performances will begin at 5:45 p.m. with music, singing, dancing, and a fashion show.
Guests from St. Peter’s sister city of Petatlan, Mexico will also be tabling at this year’s International Festival, exhibiting Petatlan’s Day of the Dead traditions.
The International Cultures Club is a student organization at Gustavus comprised of both international and American students with the goal of promoting international awareness and appreciation of cultures.
