Theatre and Dance Department to Present Hamlet

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to present the timeless classic Hamlet, written by William Shakespeare. Directed by Amy Seham, this production will be performed in Anderson Theatre May 5-7 and May 12-13 at 8 p.m., May 8 at 2 p.m., and May 14 at 7 p.m.


Forensics Showcase Scheduled for May 2

Gustavus Adolphus College’s nationally ranked forensics team will showcase some of its best performances of the year at 5 p.m. Monday, May 2 in the Courtyard Café, located on the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center.


Gustavus to Host Relay For Life Event

Colleges Against Cancer will host the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser, Relay For Life, at Gustavus Adolphus College April 30 and May 1. More than 45 teams and nearly 400 individuals are registered to participate in the event.

Gustavus Named a Green College by The Princeton Review

For the second straight year, Gustavus Adolphus College has been recognized for its commitment to sustainability by The Princeton Review. The nationally-known education services company selected Gustavus for inclusion in its second annual “Guide to 311 Green Colleges: 2011 Edition.”


Forensics Team Wins NFA Title

The Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team won a national title on Monday, April 18 by finishing in first place in the team sweepstakes of the President’s II Division at the National Forensic Association’s (NFA) National Championships at Illinois State University.


Poetry Reading to Feature Anna George Meek

Minneapolis poet Anna George Meek will appear at Gustavus Adolphus College on Wednesday, April 27 to read from her award-winning book of poetry Acts of Contortion along with other works. The event will start at 7 p.m. in the Melva Lind Interpretive Center.


Library Benefit Books in Bloom May 6-8

Gustavus Library Associates (GLA) is preparing to host the first ever Books in Bloom event May 6-8 at the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.
