Alumnus Eric Butorac Featured by New York Times

Gustavus Adolphus College alumnus Eric Butorac ’03 is the No. 38 ranked doubles player in the world with seven career ATP doubles titles to his name. On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Butorac was featured on the New York Times tennis blog “Straight Sets.”

Butorac and doubles partner Jean-Julien Rojer of Curacao lost their first round match at the U.S. Open on Sept. 2 to the tournament’s No. 2 seeded duo of Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, 6-7 and 3-6. Butorac is also entered in the mixed doubles draw with partner Raquel Kops-Jones.
