Women’s Golf Team Places Second at NCAA Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team placed second at the 2010 Division III NCAA Championships on Friday, May 14 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team placed second at the 2010 Division III NCAA Championships on Friday, May 14 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

Gustavus finished with a 72-hole total of 1,301 strokes (331-332-322-316). Methodist University won the championship with a 72-hole total of 1,282 (317-333-315-317). The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire took third place with a 72-hole total of 1,307.

Gustavus junior Katie Schenfeld finished in a tie for fifth place individually with rounds of 78, 83, 78, and 77 (+24) on the par 73 course.

Sophomore Taylor Drenttel finished in a tie for 12th place individually with rounds of 82, 80, 85, and 77 (+32). First-year student Annie Jackson finished in a tie for 14th place with rounds of 82, 85, 77, and 81 (+33). Sophomore Amanda Woodhull finished in a tie for 36th place with rounds of 89, 84, 86, and 81 (+48).
