Women’s Hockey Clinches MIAC Title

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team clinched the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championship Saturday afternoon with an 8-0 victory over Augsburg College at Don Roberts Ice Rink.

 

Alumnus Peter Krause to Star in New NBC Drama

Peter Krause, a 1987 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, will star in the new NBC one-hour drama Parenthood, which premieres at 9 p.m. Central Time Tuesday, March 2.

The Campus Activities Board at Gustavus Adolphus College has announced that hip-hop recording artist Lupe Fiasco will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 17 in Lund Arena.

 

Gustavus Named to President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll

Gustavus Adolphus College has been named to the 2009 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by Learn and Serve America, a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service.

 

Women’s Swimming & Diving Wins 2010 MIAC Championship

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s swimming and diving team compiled 744 points to claim the 2010 MIAC Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Aquatics Center on the Campus of the University of Minnesota.

 

Gustavus Professor and Student to Premiere Documentary Film

Gustavus Adolphus College Assistant Professor of Communication Studies Martin Lang ’95 and sophomore student Ethan Marxhausen will host a free public premiere of their new documentary on the future of Minnesota agriculture at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 11 at the Treaty Site History Center in St. Peter.

 

Professor Emeritus Potts to be Honored by American Chemical Society

Professor Emeritus and current Research Professor Lawrence Potts will be the 2010 recipient of the prestigious J. Calvin Giddings Award for Excellence in Education.

 

Forensics Team Wins Third Straight State Championship

The Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team won its third straight Minnesota Collegiate Forensics Association State Championship on Sunday, Feb. 21 at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
