Gustavus Adolphus College students are encouraged to come to Alumni Hall, located on the upper level of the O.J. Johnson Student Union, on Monday, Dec. 7 between 1 and 6:30 p.m. or until supplies last to receive a free H1N1 flu vaccine.
“Gustavus students have been extremely cooperative throughout the fall semester regarding our H1N1 policies,” Director of Health Service Heather Dale said. “Now we are asking them to come forward to receive the vaccine because it is the best way to prevent widespread infection.”
The College recently received 800 doses of the vaccine to administer at Monday’s H1N1 vaccine clinic. Students do not need to bring anything with them to the clinic in order to receive the vaccine. They will be screened for eligibility, given H1N1 vaccine information, and then receive the vaccine as indicated. All vaccine at Monday’s clinic will be injectable, and not the nasal spray variety.
