Annis Inducted into Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame

Current Gustavus Adolphus College softball coach Jeff Annis was inducted into the Minnesota Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Thursday, Feb. 5 in St. Cloud. Annis has been the head coach at Gustavus since the 2006 season.

Easter Bunny Breakfast Set for March 14

Gustavus Library Associates (GLA) will host its annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14 at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.

New College Safety Video Filmed at Gustavus

A new college and university safety video titled "Stay Safe at College," which will be released internationally, will premiere at Gustavus Adolphus College at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24 in Wallenberg Auditorium, located in the College's Alfred Nobel Memorial Hall of Science.

Student Teaching Program Opening Doors for Education Majors

This past fall, five Gustavus students completed part of their student teaching experience in Sotogrande, Spain. This spring, six more students will student teach in Barrow, Alaska.

Building Bridges Conference to Focus on Education

Gustavus Adolphus College will host its 14th annual Building Bridges Conference Saturday, March 14. The theme of this year's conference is "Liberation through Education" and will focus on educational inequality in the U.S. and abroad and the important influence an education has on an individual's future.

Zimmerman to Deliver Transfiguration Talks

The Rev. Dr. Ted Zimmerman '69 will be at Gustavus Adolphus College for a weeklong residency to deliver a series of "Transfiguration Talks" at daily and Sunday chapel services from Thursday, Feb. 19 to Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Chemistry Student Honored at Florida Conference

Gustavus Adolphus College junior Jason Schultz was recently honored at the 19th Winter Fluorine Conference in St. Pete Beach, Fla., on Jan. 11-16.

The Echo’s to Perform on Valentine’s Day

As part of the Continuing Education program at Gustavus Adolphus College, The Echo's will perform a Feb. 14 Valentine's Day concert at 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall, located in the College's O.J. Johnson Student Union.

Physicist Zajonc to Lecture at Gustavus

Gustavus Adolphus College will welcome Arthur Zajonc, professor of physics at Amherst College, to campus for three public appearances Feb. 15-16.

Day at the Capitol Scheduled for March 5

Hundreds of students and financial aid supporters from Gustavus Adolphus College and other Minnesota private colleges and universities will gather at the state Capitol this spring to advocate for need-based student financial aid. Gustavus' Day at the Capitol will be shared with Hamline University and St. Mary's University and is scheduled for Thursday, March 5.
