Gustavus to Host NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships Posted on May 8th, 2008 by

Gustavus Adolphus College will host the 2008 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships May 13-15. The matches will be played at the college’s Brown Outdoor Tennis Complex.

The eight institutions that advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals are Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine), Denison University (Granville, Ohio), Emory University (Atlanta, Ga.), Gustavus Adolphus College, University of Mary Washington (Fredericksburg, Va.), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (Pomona Calif.), Washington and Lee University (Lexington, Va.), and Williams College (Williamstown, Mass.).

The four quarterfinal matches, that will be played on Tuesday, May 13, are as follows:

  • 9:00 a.m.: Bowdoin (14-7) vs. Pomona-Pitzer (16-7)
  • 9:00 a.m.: Williams (18-3) vs. Mary Washington (22-3)
  • 2:00 p.m.: Emory (17-10) vs. Denison (19-3)
  • 2:00 p.m.: Washington and Lee (26-0) vs. Gustavus Adolphus (24-8)
